Fremont Police Beat
The day started out fairly busy, with three 459 autos, Rpt #’s 003,005 and 011, the latter at Kaiser Hospital off of Stevenson where an alert citizen was able to scare the suspect away. SNARE initiated. Ofc. Ceniceros following up on leads.
CR #31: Late reported 459 PC Residential attempt 200 block of Junipero Co. Suspect’s were in the act of prying front door when they were interrupted by residents.
#053: "Female screaming for help" in the area of Seneca Park/Mayfair Park turned out to be drunk/distraught male. He claimed medical issues then challenged officers to fight as the ambulance arrived. He squared off with officers and was taken to the ground and arrested for drunk in public and transported to Santa Rita Jail. Investigation by Ofc. C. Tang.
#001: Vehicle vs light pole collision at Fremont/Mowry. A 2000 Honda was s/b Fremont Bl. and failed to negotiate the right turn to Mowry Ave. The Honda struck the light pole and air bags were deployed. Two of the four occupants fled. Front two were still on scene when police arrived. Both were transported to Eden Trauma as a precaution. Investigation by Ofc. Allsup.
#002: Fontana Apts. - A drunk male missed his apartment by one floor and tried to force his way into the wrong apartment despite the resident's yelling for him to go away. The resident called PD and we found the male laying on the floor in front of the unit. Officers observed a knife between the male's knees and held him at gun point/taser point until he could be taken into custody. Male made suicidal comments and was transported for evaluation. Investigation by Ofc. Macciola. Incident coordinated by Sgt. Fowlie. Later booked into the Fremont Jail.
